Uttar Pradesh was hit by a severe heatwave in June 2024, with temperatures soaring up to 45 degrees Celsius. Such extreme conditions put lives at risk, so IFF sought to do what we could to assist marginalized communities struggling with the extreme heat whilst going about their everyday life, through a simple roadside stall in Shahjahanpur freely distributing water and sharbat (juice) to anyone in need of refreshment, seeking to bring relief to those suffering from the extreme heat and to offer brief periods of comfort. The drinks distributed by our team, under the dedicated leadership of our trustee Mrs. Gauri Gupta, provided more than simple hydration – they symbolized a sense of community spirit, of mutual care and support, and offered a few valuable moments of relief to those desperately enduring the heat. This simple act of care not only addressed the physical discomfort caused by dehydration but also uplifted spirits, strengthening a sense of solidarity and compassion within the community.

Whether it involves combating extreme weather conditions, addressing socioeconomic disparities, or advocating for human rights, the Inclusive Futures Foundation remains steadfast in its pursuit of creating a more equitable and inclusive future for all. This simple initiative serves as a powerful reminder of the impact our actions can have when we put others first. It inspires us to work towards a more just and compassionate world, where the needs of the marginalized are not only acknowledged but actively addressed, fostering an inclusive future for all.
