8th March 2025, To mark International Womens Day team IFF organised an orientation programme on Legal Rights of women. As we all know women's rights are human rights. They are fundamental rights and entitlements that are guaranteed to women and girls globally. These rights are essential for women to live with dignity, equality, and freedom from discrimination. The international agency United Nations has instruments like CEDAW, Beijing Declaration and Plan of Action, and Sustainable Development Goals to affirm and protect womens rights. Therefore, team IFF organized the event to make women aware about national and international laws and their rights. Advocate Gita Tapa addressed the women group emphasising on : Right to Equality Right to Freedom from Discrimination Right to Life, Liberty, and Security of Person Right to Marital and Family Rights Right to Sexual and Reproductive Health Right to Education Right to Economic Empowerment Right to Political Participation She also discussed the challenges and violations regarding these rights. And various mechanisms exist at the international, regional, and national levels to protect and promote women's rights.
